Excellent results for Latch super-insulated home (Added 29/11/13 )

Our superinsulated Victorian terraced house is now complete: we have installed internal solid wall, underfloor and loft insulation; triple glazing; high performance doors, extensive draught proofing and heat recovery ventilation. The aim is to make the house warm and affordable to heat, lifting tenants out of fuel poverty and substantially reducing carbon emissions.

The performance of the house is being monitored by the Sustainability Institute at Leeds Metropolitan University. The airtightness test gave a figure of 4.7 air changes per hour, reduced from 20 at the start,  which is fantastic! We will post more results when we have them.
